We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various surgical specialties and hold necessary certifications. Below are the details of the position.

Job Details

• Unit: OR (Operating Room)
• Shift Length: 8 or 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA) - required for pediatric cases

Shift Notes

• Shifts available: 5x8 or 4x10
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, with two weekdays and one weekend of call

Facility Information

• Location: Jackson, MS
• Number of Beds: 67
• Operating Rooms: 4 ORs and 1 procedure room
• Average Cases per Day: 15-22 cases per room

Areas of Surgical Experience

The candidate should have experience in the following areas:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedic Fractures and Scopes
• Plastics
• Gastrointestinal Surgery
• Urology
• Pediatric Dental Surgery
• Surgical Oncology

Additional Requirements

• The traveler will not be required to scrub and circulate.
• No floating to other units is anticipated.
• Fingerprinting required, with options for remote or in-person processing.
• Flu vaccine is mandatory, with only medical exemptions allowed.

Orientation

The orientation will consist of on-unit training, healthstream virtual education, and a duration of one week to acclimate to the unit.
