Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess telemetry experience and demonstrate advanced skills in patient care, particularly in the management of telemetry monitoring.
Unit Specifics
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 with cath recovery, 6:1 maximum ratio, may be stretched to 7:1
- Staffing Description: Unit secretaries and patient care technicians available on both day and night shifts, with unit clerks on day shifts
- Type of Equipment: Remote telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend
- Floating Policy: Agency floats first; may float to Ortho/Med-Surg
- Patient Experience Goals: Strive for a 75% patient satisfaction rate
Qualifications
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in telemetry nursing
- Essential Skills: Knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia
- Procedures Performed: Chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH
Dress Code
Required uniform: Any scrubs except camo.
