Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dynamic Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. This position requires a dedicated professional to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions through a variety of interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures including left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), peripheral interventions, permanent monitoring, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placements.
• Conduct pre-procedural assessments and prepare patients for procedures.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
• Required certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Certified Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist (RCIS) via CCI or ARRT (CV)
  • Valid Kansas (KS) License
• Must have the ability to independently handle STEMI cases.

Work Schedule

This position is full-time and follows a 4x10 day shift schedule, with potential call requirements, particularly on weekends. A minimum of 15 days of on-call availability, including holidays, is required.

Additional Information

• Orientation will include a week of training with a focus on the Cath Lab operations.
• Travelers will need to provide their Rad Badge.
• The department may require floating to related areas, such as the stress lab, as needed.
• Dress code: Scrubs will be provided for all staff.
