Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Technician to join our cardiovascular operating room team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in assisting with a variety of surgical procedures and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during cardiovascular procedures.
• Prepare surgical instruments and equipment for use during operations.
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
• Manage surgical supplies and ensure they are readily available during procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Number of Suites: 7
• Daily Cases: 22-45 cases across various specialties; includes both inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Common Types of Cases: General surgery, bowel resections, gynecological procedures, urology surgeries, and selected bariatrics and plastics cases.
• Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technician.
• Current BLS Certification and a valid Washington state license required.
• No national certification is needed.

Scheduling and Shift Information

• The role includes options for 4/10 or 5/8 schedules.
• Weekend shifts and holiday call may be required, with 5-6 on-call days per month.
• Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes.

Additonal Information

Housing may be difficult to secure, and block scheduling will be considered. Orientation for the floor-specific procedures will last approximately one week.
