Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Technologist to join our dynamic team in the Cardio Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, along with the necessary certifications and a valid Washington State license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Manage the surgical environment and ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
• Participate in rotating on-call assignments and provide support during emergency situations as needed.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Valid Washington State license for CVOR Technologists.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Unit Information

The CVOR unit encompasses 7 surgical suites, handling a wide array of cases including general surgery, bowel resections, gynecology, urology, and more. There are typically 22-45 surgical cases performed daily, with 35-40% being add-on cases. The unit is equipped with EPIC EMR.

Working Conditions

• Shifts: Primarily day shifts consisting of three 12-hour workdays. Weekend shifts and holiday call may be required.
• Call requirement: Expected to cover 5-6 call days, with a 30-minute response time.
• Orientation: One week of unit-specific training.
• Scrub colors: Provided by the facility.

Additional Notes

Housing arrangements can be challenging; however, the scheduling may accommodate block scheduling needs. Candidates should be prepared for floating between CVOR and Main OR as required based on experience.
