Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Flex Pool team. The ideal candidate will float between various medical and surgical units, providing high-quality patient care and support across different departments as needed.

Shift Information

The position requires 12-hour shifts during the day from 0645 to 1915, with a schedule of 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in various medical and surgical units.
• Float between different units including medical, surgical, and the cardiovascular unit as necessary.
• Utilize Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacuum devices, and manage chest tubes effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Active State of HI nursing license is required prior to the start of the assignment.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory. PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred.

Unit Information

• Medical Unit – 77 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 during the day and evening shifts, 1:8 at night.
• Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute) – 18 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6.
• Cardiovascular Unit – 15 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4.

Additional Information

All candidates must be willing to cover holidays as required. Professional nursing attire is expected, and each unit will provide specific training and orientation as needed.
