Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our MedSurg/Telemetry unit, which caters to an adult and older adult population. This 32-bed unit provides care for trauma patients and administers heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the MedSurg and Telemetry settings.
• Manage up to 5 patients at a time, ensuring each one receives the necessary attention and care.
• Administer medications, including acute medications and continuous infusions as prescribed.
• Utilize specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment effectively.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately using EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Proven experience in MedSurg and Telemetry nursing is a must, with documented competency in the specialty.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or previous NICHE training is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

This position requires mandatory holiday coverage during key holidays. Travelers must be available to work either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving, as well as either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
