• General Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS
• Nursing Certifications: TNCC

Description

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in the applicable specialty to be considered for this position. The Emergency Department features an 11-bed Main ED, a 6-bed ED Fast Track, and a 7-bed ED Observation Unit. All ED nurses are required to rotate through these areas regularly. Responsibilities include being assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening. Nurses may also be assigned to assist with Covid testing and immunization clinics as required.

Shift Details

The standard shift is from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a maximum of one week of requested time off (RTO) when necessary. Shifts may vary during the contract, and staff may need to cover day or mid shifts. Typically, the schedule consists of 7 days on followed by 7 days off, with 36 hours in one week and 48 hours the next. Travelers may occasionally be expected to float to other departments where they are qualified, which may include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting, or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.
