Position Description

The MedSurg/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing quality care to patients in the Clinical Transition Unit (CTU). The position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

Location: San Antonio, TX

Unit Details:

• Number of Beds: 10
• Number of Staff: 3 (2 RNs and 1 PCT on day shift; 2 RNs and 1 PCT on night shift)
• Patient Ratios: 5:1
• Type of Equipment: Telemetry Monitor, EKG machine
• EMR: MediTech

Qualifications

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Emergency Department (ED), Cardiac Telemetry, and Med-Surg patients

Typical Procedures

No invasive procedures are performed on this unit as it functions as an in-patient transitional unit.

Dress Code

Scrub Color/Attire: Navy Blue

Work Schedule

There is a requirement to work two weekends per month, with no on-call responsibilities.

Experience Requirement

Minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred.
