Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
This position will require varying night shifts, specifically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Location
This position is located in the Intensive Care Unit in City, State.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critical patients in the ICU setting
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and post-discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Intensive Care Unit
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
- Preferred certifications include CCRN and NIHSS
- Experience with Cerner and General Medical Surgical ICU is preferred
Holiday Expectations
Candidates must be available to work during the holidays, specifically on 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
