General Information

Typical Hiring Profile

We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Required:
  • 1+ years of acute medical/surgical experience within the last year
  • Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
• Preferred:
  • 2+ years of experience working with Neuro Patients such as CVA’s, TIA’s, and AMS
  • Background in neuro/neuro-surgery or orthopedic care
  • Experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry is also acceptable

Typical Procedures Performed

Staff will be expected to perform the following:

• Care for medical/surgical patients
• Standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Medication administration and communication with all members of the care team
• Documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Continuous Bladder Irrigation, NGT insertion, and maintenance

Floating Areas

The position may require floating to other medical/surgical units as necessary.
