Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a dynamic medical/surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in acute care settings and be adept at providing high-quality patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 22
• Number of Staff: 30
• Patient Ratios: Maximum 6:1
• Type of Equipment: Standard
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Caring for medical/surgical orthopedic patients.
• Performing standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, and medication administration.
• Communicating effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
• Documenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Qualifications

Required skills and experience:

• Acute medical/surgical experience of 2+ years within the last year.
• Proficient in managing 4-6 patients at a time.

Preferred qualifications:

• 2+ years of orthopedic nursing experience.

Candidates must possess a current RN license and be able to float to other medical/surgical units as needed.

Work Schedule

• Rotating weekends

Dress Code

Scrub attire is required.
