Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a commitment to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients through proficient nursing practices.

Schedule

This position is a day shift role, working four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Call responsibilities are part of the role.

Education and Experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• 2 to 3 years of nursing experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current California RN license is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required prior to providing patient care and must be recertified every two years.
• ACLS certification is required for registered nurses in Nursing Supervision, Med/Surg, Emergency Department, Perioperative Services, and ICU within six months of employment; must also be recertified every two years.
• PALS certification is required for registered nurses in the Emergency Room and must be obtained within six months of employment for Med/Surg, Perioperative Services, and ICU, with recertification every two years.
• Specialized certifications (e.g., CNOR, PANAC, AAOPU) in the area of practice are preferred for outpatient care.

• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, standing, and walking.
• Engaging in repetitive hand motions and lifting patients as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor.
• Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is expected to conform to all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations related to patient care and hospital operations.

Equipment Used

The nurse will utilize various equipment, including:

• Cell phone
• Computer and telephone systems
• Monitors
• IV, PCA, and epidural pumps
• Other medical equipment as necessary

Exposure to Blood and Body Fluids

This position involves potential exposure to blood and body fluids. Protective measures must be employed while performing tasks that have inherent risks.
