Job Overview

The Registered Nurse in the MedSurg / Telemetry unit will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in medical-surgical settings. The role involves floating to various med-surg areas as needed, ensuring a flexible and adaptive approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in MedSurg and Telemetry units.
• Float to all med-surg areas as required.
• Perform assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg and/or Telemetry nursing.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
