Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in dysphagia management and will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with speech and language disorders.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation Schedule:
  • Day 1 & 2: Training at a regional campus
  • Day 3 & 4: Training at a designated unit
  • Transition to units will vary by assignment
• Scheduled Hours:
  • 8-hour Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • 1 Saturday morning per month, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Additional compensation time off the week prior to Saturday shifts
• Weekend Requirement: One Saturday morning shift every 3-4 weeks
• Holiday Requirement: As needed, to be discussed during the interview

Qualifications

• Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Experience with bedside swallow assessments and modified barium swallow studies is essential
  • Strong dysphagia management expertise is preferred
  • Must be proactive and self-confident in clinical decision-making
• Licensure:
  • Current Missouri Speech Language Pathologist license required
  • Vital Stim certification is a plus but not mandatory

This is a smoke-free environment. Please note that there may be the possibility for cancellation of one shift per pay period at no additional cost.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System

Candidates will be working with Altera Sunrise EMR, which is similar to other major systems.
