Shift Information

This position will routinely work 4 ten-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. An on-call shift is required weekly, and work schedules may vary based on staffing and operational needs.

Minimum Experience

3 years of experience is required.

• General Certifications: BLS/BCLS
• Allied Health Certifications: ARRT (MRI) or AMRIT certification

Job Description

The Imaging Specialist IV MRI position is responsible for independently performing clinical diagnostic MRI exams in accordance with department protocols. This role requires strong knowledge of MRI techniques and procedures, as well as compliance with quality standards and physician orders.

Education

Successful completion of an accredited program in MRI with a certificate or associate degree or equivalent, or completion of ARRT advanced registry in MRI.

Experience

• 3 years of experience as an MRI technologist, demonstrating the ability to perform clinical diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging and other procedures.
• Proficiency with GE MRI systems and EPIC is preferred.

Certification

A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in MR or a current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) is required. BLS certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment.

Licensure

No specific licensure is required, but a current State of Hawaii license in any radiologic imaging modality is highly desired.

Work Conditions

This position may involve rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may require standby and call-back duties.
