Job Description:
The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in the care of adult patients experiencing various health issues. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and compassion, focusing on ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during their recovery process.
Shift Information:
Work hours are from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Note that block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating to other units is required.
Unit Details:
- Unit Type: Medical/Surgical

- Post-surgical care
- Abdominal pain
- Cholelithiasis
- Osteoarthritis
- Fractures
- Back pain
- Morbid obesity (bariatric surgery)
- Specialty Equipment Used:
- IV pumps
- N/G tubes
- Feeding tubes
- Patient Demographics: Adults
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
- Current and active RN license in New York and any other relevant states.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Comprehensive skills checklist that aligns with the specialty.
