Shift Information
Night shift: 1845 to 0715
Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours. No on-call duties. 24 hours of operation Monday through Friday.
Minimum Years of Experience
2 years of nursing experience required.

- ACLS
Description
This position is for a Progressive Care Unit within a healthcare facility. The unit consists of 15 beds, including 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU.
General Job Duties
- Provide primary nursing care
- Monitor telemetry patients
- Read telemetry strips
- Conduct fingerstick blood sugar tests
Equipment Utilized in the Unit/Department
- Meditech charting
- Pyxis for medication management
- BIPAP
- Continuous cardiac monitoring
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must have at least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year. Progressive Care and telemetry experience is preferred.
Licensure and Certifications
A Hawaii Nursing License is required prior to the start of the assignment. Additionally, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
Floating Requirements
Floating to other units and departments is expected. This may include medical, surgical/pediatrics, ICU, and emergency room settings.
Dress Code
Scrubs are required as per facility standards.
Holiday Coverage
Holiday coverage may be required.
