Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Labor and Delivery to join our team. This position is critical to providing high-quality care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 35
- Number of Staff: 160
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:1 or 2:1 during labor
- 2:1 in the Antepartum Unit (APU)
- 2:1 in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Type of Equipment:
- Hill-Rom birthing beds
- Alaris IV pumps
- GE core metrics fetal monitor
- Panda warmers
- CADD Solis epidural pumps
- NOVI wireless fetal monitor
- EHR System: CPN (Centricity), Meditech
Responsibilities
The Travel RN will be responsible for the following:
- Providing care during labor and delivery, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Monitoring and assessing patients to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
- Performing antepartum care, testing, and continuous electronic fetal monitoring.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Required Skills:
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in OR circulation for cesarean sections
- Placement of fetal scalp electrodes (FSE) and intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
