Position Overview

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This position requires a dedicated professional who can effectively manage patient care operations while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, applying critical thinking to identify changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with standards of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control policies and patient safety protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical nursing environment.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications may be preferred.

Schedule

This position is for a day shift, with hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
