Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will have experience managing critically ill patients and a strong background in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
The Medical ICU consists of 30 beds, caring for a diverse patient population with conditions such as:
- Sepsis
- Heart failure
- Hypertensive emergency
- Respiratory failure
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Chronic kidney disease
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus (TDM2)
- Alcohol use/abuse and substance abuse
- Status epilepticus
- Encephalopathy
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting
- Proficient in managing ventilators and other complex medical equipment
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Key Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse in the ICU will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and managing a fast-paced workload. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
- Implementing and evaluating care plans
- Administering medications and treatments
- Educating patients and families about health conditions and care
Location
This position is located in a busy medical environment in City, State.
