Unit Information
The Registered Nurse (RN) position is within the Emergency Department, which has the following characteristics:
- Number of Beds: 52
- Number of Staff: 134
- Patient Ratios:
- 3:1 average
- Low acuity 5:1
- Pediatrics - team nursing
- Type of Staff:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
- Type of Equipment: Alaris
- Electronic Medical Record: Meditech / CPN
Qualifications
Must Have: (Candidates lacking any of these qualifications will not be considered)
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
- CPI Blue card
Preferred Qualifications: (Candidates with these qualifications will be prioritized)
- ENPC certification
- Experience with Meditech
- Experience traveling to large facilities
Typical Procedures
Registered Nurses in this department will be responsible for:
- IV starts and medication administration
- Sedations and pediatric care
- Ensuring a positive patient experience
