Location: Wichita, KS

Unit: Birth Care Center

General Information

• Number of Beds: 20
• Number of Staff: 50
• Day Shift Staff: 1 CNC/charge, Desk clerk, Scrub Tech, and 5-6 RNs
• Night Shift Staff: 1 CNC/charge, Desk clerk, Scrub Tech, and 4-5 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 3-4:1 for post-partum couplets, 1-2:1 for labor patients
• Types of Equipment: Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, Point of Care Glucose monitoring, Monica Novii telemetry
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech / CPN

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year of current experience as an L&D RN
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in postpartum care
• High-risk Labor and Delivery experience

Typical Procedures

• C-sections and Inductions
• Amniotic Rupture of Membranes (AROM), Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC), Continuous Fetal Monitoring (DFM), and Doppler ultrasound
• Circulating C-Sections
