Description
Position Overview
This role is for a Registered Nurse on the Comprehensive Medical Unit, working primarily in a night shift capacity with occasional floating between various Med-Surg units. The position requires active participation in a team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Shift Information
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the assigned unit.
- Float between various Med-Surg units as necessary, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation.
- Maintain and enhance proficiency in reading telemetry, with competency testing on the first day of employment.
- Utilize Epic EMR efficiently in daily practice.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of current/recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory; refresher classes or one-on-one assistance are not available.
Additional Information
Unless the RN is a returning travel nurse within the past 9 months, the only start date available is November 16th. This role does not require on-call duty.
