Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical Surgical to join our team in Lawrence, KS. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
• Participate in on-floor training and orientation activities.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and uphold professional standards.

Scheduled Details

• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Commitment: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available for at least every other holiday
• Floating Requirement: As needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Medical Surgical RN in an acute care setting.
• Previous experience in step-down units is preferred.
• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state, and current BLS certification required.

Client-Specific Notes

Additional health requirements include a 2 step TB or recent blood draw, immunization records for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR, or completed titers within the last 12 months. TDAP immunization is mandatory.
