Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced surgical team in a multispecialty surgical hospital located in a vibrant college town. This position involves providing exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, ENT, urology, gynecology, spine, cataracts, and general surgeries.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with an 8-hour day shift, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. There are no call, weekend, or holiday requirements for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to changes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Document all relevant patient information and procedures accurately.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or a multistate license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Strong background in orthopedic procedures, specifically total joints and arthroscopy cases.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Location

This position is located in a college town in Kansas.
