Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a position in acute care and rehabilitation. This role involves evaluating and reassessing assigned patients as either outpatients or inpatients, and implementing therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and re-evaluate a diverse caseload of patients in both outpatient and acute rehabilitation settings.
  • Develop and implement ongoing therapeutic programs tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Continuously update treatment plans and home exercise programs based on patient progress.
  • Independently manage a full caseload while demonstrating knowledge of re-evaluation requirements driven by insurance authorizations.
  • Work during Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary based on operational needs.

Equipment Utilized

The department primarily utilizes the following electronic medical records systems:

  • Net Health Therapy
  • Meditech

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience, specifically working with adult populations in outpatient and acute settings.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross.
  • Possession of a valid Hawaii Occupational Therapist license by the start of the assignment.

Working Schedule

This position is scheduled for weekday shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Holiday coverage is required as needed.
