Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of recent experience in the specialty, demonstrating proficiency in providing high-quality patient care during labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, and respond to changes effectively.
• Assist with delivery and perform post-delivery assessments and care.
• Educate patients and families on prenatal care, labor, childbirth, and postpartum recovery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record system.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certification.
• Experience with managing high-risk pregnancies, including conditions such as preeclampsia, diabetes, and preterm labor.
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.

Schedule and Holiday Expectations

This position requires a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. The candidate must also be willing to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
