Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel position. The successful candidate will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care within the operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other operating room personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Anticipate and plan for the needs of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Oversee the organization and preparation of the operating room, ensuring necessary supplies are available.
• Manage case timeliness and effective communication with families regarding patient status.
• Update physician preference cards and maintain accurate surgical records.
• Assist in scrubbing and supporting surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Supervise personnel involved in patient care delivery within the operating room.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room Registered Nurse experience required.
• Experience with Robotics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) preferred.
• Must have experience with c-sections.
• Ability to work as part of a surgical team and demonstrate leadership in patient care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Schedule Details

This is a travel position with a typical schedule of 4x10 hour days or 5x8 hour days. On-call requirements include 3 first calls, 3 second calls, and 1 weekend every 6 weeks.
