Description
Position Overview
This position involves working as an X-Ray Technologist, primarily during overnight shifts. The candidate will be responsible for conducting X-ray examinations and operating radiographic equipment independently. This role requires expertise in radiation safety protocols and demonstrates proficiency in the operation of various radiographic equipment.
Shift Information
- Shift Timing: Overnight, from 2130 to 0730
- Average Call: 3 days per month
- No guarantee of hours or requested time off for the first 13 weeks of the contract
Key Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations using DR fixed equipment, DR fluoro equipment, C-arms, and portable DR equipment.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain equipment functionality and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Document and manage patient information in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of independent experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required.
- Active certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience with Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, and Epic EMR is preferred.
- Must be assigned a dosimetry badge.
- Traveler must arrive on the island prior to the Monday start for HR clearance appointments.
