Position Overview
This role involves providing critical support in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) departments, utilizing advanced technology and collaborating with a skilled team to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of procedures in the Cath Lab including LHC/RHC, diagnostic and interventional procedures, IABPs, pacemakers, and CTOs.
- Support IR procedures such as coil embolizations, nephrostomy tube placement, central line insertions, and IVC filter placements.
- Participate in hybrid procedures including AAA grafts and peripheral interventions.
- Function effectively as part of a 3-person team in each room.
- Handle room turnover and patient transport as necessary.
Patient Types and Common Diagnoses
Candidate should be experienced with the following:
- Cath Lab: IABPs, Rotablator, STEMIs/MIs, MICRAs, staged/protected PCIs.
- IR: Nephrostomy tubes, ports, G/GJ tubes, tunneled and temporary dialysis catheters, and clot management devices.
- Hybrid: AAA grafts and peripheral interventions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with a preference for both Cath Lab and IR experience.
- Must have RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications.
- For RT candidates, licensure must include certification (ARRT or RCIS) and BLS/ACLS certification.
- Ability to read and interpret EKGs for RN candidates.
- Experience in emergency protocols and emergency medical services is preferred.
Work Schedule
- Shifts: 4-10 hour shifts per week.
- Weekend and weekday call duties required.
- Self-scheduling with oversight for additional coverage needs.
Support and Resources
- No transporter available; cases will be scheduled by the charge nurse or lead tech.
- Phlebotomy and hospitalist support available 24/7.
Technology and Equipment
- EMR: EPIC system.
- Hemodynamic monitoring: Merge.
- C-arms: GE brand.
- Injectors: MedRad.
Orientation and Training
Comprehensive orientation provided. Duration of orientation will vary based on prior experience in IR.

- Scrubs and leads are provided, with extended sizing options available.
