Job Details

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical Unit. The role will primarily be on the night shift, with potential for weekend and holiday requirements. Nurses will also be expected to float to different facilities within the region as needed.

Unit Information

• Unit: Med/Surg
• Number of Beds: 28
• Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• CNA to Patient Ratio: 1 CNA for 10-14 patients
• Common Diagnoses: General Medical patients, including sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, congestive heart failure (CHF), etc.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN is preferred.
• 2+ years of related work experience is preferred.
• Current state licensure and AHA BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Titrate insulin and heparin drips as part of patient care.
• Read telemetry strips; no dedicated tele-monitor techs are available on this unit.
• Utilize centralized tele monitoring accessible via mobile applications.

• St. Francis Hospital - Federal Way, WA
• St. Anne Hospital - Burien, WA
• Virginia Mason Medical Center - Seattle, WA
