Emergency Room Nurse

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our dynamic clinical team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on critical patient needs and support during emergencies.

Location

This position is located in a facility in Garden, state.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER)
• Trauma Level: Level III
• Average Daily Patients: 30+
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS
• Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: Abdomen Pain, Chest Pain, Fever, Cough, Dyspnea, Headache, Injury, Extremity Pain

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency setting.
• Participate in triage processes as required.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist in monitoring and managing patient care equipment.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience.
• Proficient in NIHSS and TNCC.
• Experience with common drips (Cardiac, Antihypertensive, Antiarrhythmic, Sedation and Analgesia).
• Ability to handle critical situations and maintain composure under pressure.

Additional Information

• Shifts: 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: Minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Holiday Requirements: Yes, all staff are expected to assist as required
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
• Orientation: Department-specific orientation provided
