About the Facility

General Information

• Number of Beds Available: 15 (2 CVOR)
• Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted.

Patient Types

• Minimal Pediatric cases (typically Ortho)
• Adult cases including Open Heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, Sternotomy, Thoracotomy, Thoracoscopy, VATS, ECMO

Patient Ratios

The standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Trauma, Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, General, Ortho Spine, Ortho (with total joint experience), Gyn, Vascular (Endovascular), Urology, Robotics (for both General and Neuro), Plastics, Breasts, and Eyes.
• For CVOR positions, specific experience in the following areas is required: Open Heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, Sternotomy, Thoracotomy, Thoracoscopy, VATS, and ECMO.
• Role involves circling only, with experience necessary in the aforementioned case types.
• Robotics experience (specifically Robotic Mazor/DaVinci XI) is preferred.

Floating Policy

There is no requirement to float to other units.

Orientation

Orientation lasts for 2 weeks on day shift and involves taking buddy call during this period.

Scheduling

• Weekend Rotation: On-call duty required
• On-call Schedule: 1 weekday and one weekend each month (Friday 3 PM to 7 AM, Saturday 24 hours, Sunday 24 hours); approximately 10 days on call per month with a 30-minute response time.
• Holiday Expectations: Staff is expected to work at least one holiday per contract period.
