Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and develops individualized care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient. This role includes assessing patient conditions, administering treatments and medications, and monitoring patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care.
• Deliver patient education, health counseling, and assist with discharge planning.
• Practice within the state's RN scope of practice and adhere to nursing standards.
• Recognize and respond to patient complications and changes in condition promptly.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care.
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Report directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership.

Ideal Candidate

• Active RN license.
• Three or more years of experience in a related field.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience in providing patient-centered care and managing multiple priorities.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and adherence to professional nursing standards.
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5, flexible to 1:6; care includes patients at various therapy levels, up to PCU level of care.

Shift Information

• Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM
• 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required.
• No holiday coverage required.

Additional Information

Experience with EPIC and Pyxis preferred, but training is available. HARP/CPI certification is also preferred but can be trained.

Required certifications include ACLS and BLS.
