Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and develops individualized care plans. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient conditions, administering treatments and medications, and monitoring outcomes.
• Collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care.
• Delivering patient education, health counseling, and discharge planning.
• Practicing within the Ohio RN scope of practice and adhering to nursing standards.
• Recognizing and responding to patient complications and changes in condition.
• Supervising and delegating appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care.
• Ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

The RN reports directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership.

Ideal Candidate

• Active RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience in providing patient-centered care while managing multiple priorities.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and professional nursing standards.

The nurse-patient ratio is typically 1:5, occasionally flexed to 1:6, providing care for patients at varying levels from therapy to progressive care unit (PCU).

Hours and Location

Shift: Day Shift (7am - 7pm); 36 hours per week, every other weekend required.

Location: Washington Courthouse, OH

Additional Information

Experience with EPIC and Pyxis is preferred; however, training is available. HARP/CPI experience is also preferred but can be trained.

Required certifications include ACLS and BLS.
