Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-acuity critical care nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care for individuals experiencing respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, sepsis, and those recovering from general and vascular surgeries.
• Manage and monitor patients in the ICU setting, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Float to other ICU and inpatient units as required, based on facility needs.
• Participate in daily rounds and contribute to care plan discussions.

Schedule and Requirements

• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Orientation: The first day of orientation will be on the day shift, followed by floor orientation on the contracted shift.
• Hours: 36 hours per week, day shifts.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required.
• Holiday Requirement: As needed.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-acuity ICU; 5 years preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with supporting conditions such as alcohol and drug withdrawal, as well as behavioral health patients, is beneficial.
• New graduates will not be considered for this position.
