Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Cardio IC (Cardiovascular Intensive Care) unit. This position requires a strong background in critical care, specifically focusing on cardiovascular surgeries, transplants, and advanced monitoring techniques.

Job Details

• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM; Every Other Weekend (EOW) required
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Assist in open heart surgeries and manage post-operative care
• Utilize advanced life support and critical care techniques, including CRRT and ECMO
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and respond to any changes
• Document patient care using the EPIC system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Be open to floating between units as necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar critical care environment, preferably at a major academic medical center
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Recent experience with ECMO and CRRT is preferred
• Demonstrated flexibility on scheduling with a commitment to high-quality patient care
