Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit, providing high-quality patient care to those with common diagnoses such as congestive heart failure (CHF), diabetes, pneumonia (PNA), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and other medical/surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions using telemetry equipment.
• Read and interpret cardiac strips, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and supervisors to enhance patient care quality.
• Participate in departmental orientation and training programs.
• Float to various medical/surgical units as required.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Excellent communication and time management skills are essential.
• Experience in a telemetry or critical care setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Work Environment

• Unit capacity of 24 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1.
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available with a 12:1 ratio.
• Access to respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices.

Shifts and Scheduling

• 12-hour shifts; scheduling managed by unit leadership.
• Weekend and holiday work is required.
• No guaranteed block scheduling.

Dress Code

The designated scrub color is navy blue.
