Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stepdown Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a stepdown unit setting, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest quality of treatment and support.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7p - 7a
• Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Certified

Responsibilities

The Stepdown Nurse will be responsible for:

• Monitoring patients' vital signs and clinical status.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery processes.
• Documenting patient information and care delivered accurately in electronic medical records.
• Responding to changes in patients' conditions and providing appropriate interventions.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Current and valid nursing license.
• Experience in a stepdown or similar acute care unit is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
