Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a cardiovascular-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular intensive care and the ability to manage complex patient cases effectively.

Scheduled Details

• Shift: 12-hour Nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Required
• Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation

Floating Responsibilities

The nurse may be required to float to other units within the region as needed.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cardiovascular ICU
• Ability to pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or above

License and Certification Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• CPR Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Epic Experience

Required Skills

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of multi-system organ failure and thermoregulation
• CABG and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management
• Care of patients post cardiac surgery
• Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization intervention care
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Valve Replacement/Repair management
• LVAD/RVAD management
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) management
• IV therapy, including central line care/management
• Administration of medications, including continuous IV sedation and titration of drips
• Management of CVA/Acute stroke cases
• Assistance with BiPAP and CPAP management
• Caring for ventilated patients and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) patients
• ABG interpretation and suctioning
• Infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Phlebotomy
• Management of surgical wounds with drains/wound vac therapies

Location

This position is available at various locations within the region, including opportunities at metropolitan facilities.
