Description
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. This role includes accepting responsibility for the direction of co-workers and the delegation of appropriate tasks during the implementation of care. All duties are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Shift Information
7 PM - 7:30 AM
Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts per a 6-week schedule.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio; CPR required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred.

Essential Job Functions
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care according to the nursing process.
- Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established care plans.
- Educates patients and families throughout the admission and discharge process.
- Documents the nursing process accurately and concisely.
- Notifies physicians of relevant observations and changes in patient status.
- Administers medications and performs treatments safely and accurately.
- Implements physician orders as required.
- Ensures equipment and supplies are available for patient care and addresses malfunctions appropriately.
Physical Demands
Medium Work: Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force often.
