Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a healthcare facility in Houston, TX. This travel position is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated professionals looking to bring their expertise to a dynamic environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 22
• Staffing Levels: 23
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Type of Equipment: Splinting, defibrillator, Hamilton Vent, Welch Allyn, bedside cardiac monitoring, and more.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Transitioning from Meditech Magic to Meditech Expanse on 8/13.

Typical Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts and blood draws.
• Administer moderate sedation.
• Provide splinting and other emergency care procedures.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certification
• TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training
• Active RN License

Preferred Skills:

• ENPC certification
• NRP certification

Work Environment & Policies

• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs, closed-toed shoes (no crocs with holes), no false nails or earbuds, and a stethoscope must be available for assessments.
• Regulatory Guidelines: No food or drinks are allowed at the nurse’s station.

Schedule

• Weekends: As needed or every other weekend, based on preference.
• No on-call responsibilities.

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.
