Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic team focused on Neurology, Stroke care, and Neuro Surgery. The position is located in a busy, large Level 1 Trauma environment, requiring strong clinical abilities and adaptability.

Unit Information

• Unit: Neurology Tower 22
• Unit Type: Telemetry

Shift Information

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Shift Notes: Day shifts, Every Other Weekend (EOW), first to float

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to Neurology patients including those experiencing strokes and other neuro traumas.
• Administering cardiac drips and managing acute care situations effectively.
• Floating as required to meet unit and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related nursing role, preferably in a busy healthcare setting.
• Certifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Technology: Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required.

• Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work in various settings as needed.
