Position Overview

The PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care by employing the Nursing Process in alignment with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This position requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state regulations.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient assessment and care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of assigned personnel.
• Supervise and provide direction to staff delivering patient care.
• Ensure the safe delivery of care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• A current and valid nursing license in Arizona.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant specialty.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is required.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working three 12-hour shifts per week. The role includes a requirement to work six weekend shifts over a six-week schedule.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements.
