Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This position is vital in providing exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Location: Austin, TX
• Number of Beds: 32+
• Number of Staff: 117
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Type of Staff:
  • Day Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT
  • Mid Shift: 2 CNCs, 15 RNs, 2 Medics, 2 PCTs
  • Night Shift: 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, 1 PCT
• Type of Equipment: EMR - Meditech

Shift Information

This position is for the night shift, working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with expectations of scheduling 4 shifts per week.

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC certification (must have by start date)
• ENPC certification (must have by start date)
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

The RN will perform a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

• Patient assessments and monitoring
• Assisting with emergency procedures such as intubations and lumbar punctures
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Implementing care plans and evaluating patient progress
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Dress Code

Scrubs must be navy blue, with navy blue zip-up sweaters being allowable. Pull-over sweatshirts are not permitted.
