Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room is responsible for providing high-quality care in surgical settings. The RN will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Function as an OR circulator, effectively managing the surgical environment.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status during surgical procedures.
• Facilitate communication among team members and ensure adherence to protocols and safety guidelines.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide compassionate care and uphold patient experience standards.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• A minimum of one year of experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Knowledge and proficiency with Stryker equipment and Meditech Expanse documentation system.

• Facilities Overview:
  • Number of Beds: 231
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Staffing includes RN, CST, ORA, and Coordinators.
• Types of Procedures: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, OB/GYN, Urology, Ophthalmics, Spine, Bariatric, and Endoscopic surgical procedures.

Scheduling Requirements

The RN is expected to work Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with participation in on-call assignments as required.

Dress Code

Required uniform consists of facility laundered green scrubs.
