Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in an orthopedic unit, focusing on patient recovery and rehabilitation.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend: Rotating
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions.
• Document patient care activities using Meditech system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN License in Texas (temporary licenses are not accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with orthopedic practices and procedures preferred.
• Experience with the Meditech documentation system is advantageous.

Unit Guidelines

• Tattoo policy: Body art should be covered whenever possible.
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
• Dress Code: Navy scrub top and pants; a navy or white scrub jacket.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including hair and nails.

Additional Information

All travelers may be required to float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements. Attendance policies and floating guidelines will apply.
