Description
Location: San Antonio, TX
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and possess specialized experience in cardiovascular procedures.
Unit Highlights
- Unit: CVOR
- Shift Details: 11 AM - 7 PM, with rotating weekends
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Patient Assignments: 3-4 patients, including care for admission holds
- Floating Policy: Required as needed
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or specialty setting
- Current BLS certification
- Specialized experience in cardiovascular procedures, including:
- Heart Experience / CV
- Heart Transplant Experience
Preferred Skills
Preferred candidates will also possess the following skills:
- Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon pumps
- Experience with Adult and Pediatric Heart Transplants
- Experience with Peripheral Vascular procedures
- Cell Saver experience
- Familiarity with Meditech
Dress Code and Guidelines
The following guidelines should be adhered to:
- Facility will provide scrubs
- Nail Policy: Must be clean and healthy
- Hair: Must be neat and clean; extreme styles and colors are not allowed
- Facial Hair: Must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible
- Piercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited
