Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a role in a hospital setting. This position requires 2 years of experience, preferably in inpatient rehabilitation with a focus on stroke evaluation and treatment.

• Location: Richmond, VA
• Unit Name: Rehab Therapy
• Number of Beds: 44
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Unit Staffing: 10 OT/PT teams; 3 speech therapists; 1 technician
• Type of Equipment: Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, Diego
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• Scheduling Requirements: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7 AM and 5 PM; weekend rotation required
• Floating Policy: May float to acute care if rehab census is low
• Patient Experience Requirements: Use of AIDET communication and immediate service recovery

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred
• Stroke evaluation and treatment experience strongly preferred
• Advanced skills are not required

Responsibilities

• Perform manual therapy for neuro re-education
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and neuromuscular re-education
• Support patients with self-care and functional electrical stimulation

Dress Code

Required uniform: Black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred.
